Metal shavings and damage done

So I’ve been cutting up little chunks of scrap aluminum that are too short to make good xylophone keys, more about and fashioning them into little fetishes to give away on the playa.

The net result of this is a) …

… a ton of aluminum dust.

and b) nasty and irreparable damage to my shop floor, which used to have a nice clear-coated warning strip running under the 5-foot-high ceiling beam (which tends to crack you over the head when you’re not paying attention) but now looks like a bad case of Krylon acne.

This means the next project is to repaint the floor.

I’ll sleep when I’m dead, I guess.
